Scholarships + Student Support

Tilga Fund supports educational access and career readiness through a range of scholarships, grants, and partnership programs. These efforts reflect our commitment to empowering students to succeed academically and professionally.

“By absorbing the experiences and setbacks endured over my college career, I have implemented effective study habits in all of my classes by engaging in review groups with peers to deepen my understanding of complex topics.

Additionally, I focused on building connections with professors through in-person office hours every week to thoroughly review material, access research opportunities, and network. These efforts proved transformative, as evidenced by my consistent straight A's over the past year, culminating in recognition on the Dean's Honors List for the past four consecutive quarters. This academic success reflects not only my resilience but also highlights the importance of team collaboration in navigating daily challenges”.

Internship Testimonials

With the help of the Tilga Grant...I was able to spend the summer of 2023 in Washington D.C., interning for the National Immigration Forum as a Digital Communications intern…I received the distinct honor of having my article on the need for immigration policy reformation published by the Forum. It was a lifelong dream… and something I will be eternally grateful to have had the opportunity and privilege to receive
— ALEXANDRA ARIAS, UCR
The Tilga Grant was an absolute game changer for me. Nowadays, internships are absolutely vital in order to get a job after graduation. On my own, I never would have been able to afford the cost involved in my internship. Now I do not have to worry being behind and can continue pursuing my passions and dreams. The commmunication and teamwork skills I gained during the internship have propelled my career more than any other technical skill. I quickly learned that working with a team was vital to success. A simple question could fix all of my problems, and working with a peer could help solve an assignment in half of the time
— THOMAS HOWLE'TT, UCR Chemical Engineering Student, Athlete - Men’s Soccer; SoCal Gas Intern
